What's in it
Ingredients
1 cup butter or margarine
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
3 cups quick oats
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
FILLING:
2 Tbsp. butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
2 cups milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup walnuts
How to cook it
Directions
- Cream butter & sugar, then add remaining six ingredients and blend well. Spread 2/3 mixture in a 9 x 13 pan.
- In saucepan combine filling ingredients, cook and stir over low heat just until chocolate is melted. Spread over crust.
- Using two teaspoons, drop remaining oat mixture on the filling. Use two forks to spread mixture more evenly. (I like to spread some of the walnuts on top.)
