Man Salad

Man up and enjoy a tasty salad that's high on flavor and nutrition

What's in it


9 ounces flank steak
Salt and pepper to taste
2 plum tomatoes, cut into eighths
1/3 c. vertically sliced onion
1 small clove garlic, crushed
5 c. chopped romaine lettuce
4 tablespoons low-fat balsamic vinaigrette
3 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles

How to cook it


  • Preheat grill pan to medium-high; cook steak about 6 minutes per side, seasoning each side with salt and pepper
  • In a large bowl, mix tomatoes, onion, and garlic
  • Let meat rest for 3 to 5 minutes after cooking, then slice across the grain and diagonally into thin strips
  • Add meat and lettuce to bowl, pour on vinaigrette and toss well so that everything is completely coated; top with cheese and enjoy
