Join a symphonic fairy tale as big as a dinosaur! Once upon a time, there were three hungry Dinosaurs: Papa Dinosaur, Mama Dinosaur… and a Dinosaur who happened to be visiting from Norway! That’s the just the beginning of a hilarious, fractured, symphonic take on the classic Goldilocks and the Three Bears, as retold by Mo Willems. Don’t miss this new classic performed by favorite performers and the National Symphony Orchestra, featuring original music composed by indie pop icon and NSO Artistic Advisor Ben Folds.
Most enjoyed by age 5 and up. All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket.
1–2 p.m. and 3–4 p.m. in the Atrium:
Come early for a Musical Instrument “Petting Zoo!” Starting one hour before NSO Family performances, hands-on activities let children get up close with the instruments they’ll see played on the stage.
Sun., Apr. 19 at 2 p.m. is a sensory-friendly performance.
Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a performing arts experience that is welcoming to all families, including those with children with autism or other sensory sensitivities. If you order these performances and do not require these Accessibility accommodations, your family is still very much welcome to attend.
