The LightUP Fest, a culture rich lights exhibit that combines traditional Chinese lanterns with modern lighting technology, will debut in the Washington Metro area on Nov. 8, 2018 at One Loudoun on 20 acres of land. The exhibit will open daily for 8 weeks consecutively from 5: 30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. until Jan. 2nd. Over 150,000 people will be able to enjoy the displays during the Festival duration and partake in entertainment, food, interactive craft activities and many more!
As the largest light display held in East Coast, The LightUP Fest is unique in marrying the old and the new to present a wondrous and delightful experience for all. It uses the latest lighting technology to showcase the rich heritage, tradition and culture of the world. With 77 stunning displays presented in different themes, the LightUP Fest promises a magical night for everyone that visits. The 4 major themes are Tour of Fantasy; Freedom America; Mysterious East and Magical World. One of the featured highlights unique to this exhibit is the display of the Capitol Hill Building.
In addition to incredible artisan crafted light displays, there will also be a daily performance of acrobats, dancers and musicians that are included in the exhibit. An international food court with great variety of unique cuisine including street food chefs from China will also be on site for the enjoyment of the attendees. An interactive craft and art section will showcase the intricate culture and tradition with hands on activities for all age groups to participate and enjoy.
