FREDERICK, MD-Frederick Keys fans can enjoy a glimpse of what is coming up for the 2019 season at this year’s KeysFest! This FREE event is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 at Nymeo Field from 11 a.m-2 p.m. KeysFest is open to fans of all ages and includes a chance to have a catch in the outfield, enjoy free food samples, take a stadium tour and much more. Single-game tickets and ticket plans can also be purchased.
As always, young fans will have no shortage of KeysFest activities to pick from. The Giant Eagle Fun Zone will be open and youngsters can hop around in the bounce house and test out the other inflatables. Carousel rides are also available.
“Family-friendly is what we strive for at all Keys games and KeysFest is no exception,” said Keys Director of Marketing, Erin Lawson. “We make sure everyone has fun at KeysFest, but we really want to go above and beyond for our younger fans.”
Other fun for youngsters includes Face Painting by Vicki, free spins to win prizes at the prize wheel and a baseball card station. This will take place on the field. Additionally, Keys mascot, Keyote, will be meeting fans, taking pictures and signing autographs.
Individuals looking for a behind-the-scenes look at Nymeo Field can partake in a full stadium tour and visit the pressbox, dugouts and much more. After this, fans of all ages are invited to have a catch in the outfield.
EVERY fan who comes through the gates receives a voucher for a free hot dog and a Pepsi by visiting the Dugout Dogs stand on the first base concourse. The Flying Dog beer cart and the Kids stand (located near the Fun Zone) will be open as well. Samples of new menu items will also be available.
Anyone in need of Keys tickets will have plenty of options to chose from. Single-game tickets can be purchased at the box office for any of the Keys 70 home games and for the Carolina League All-Star Classic Presented by Visit Frederick. Fans attending multiple Keys games are encouraged to pick up a ticket plan at the Keys Groups Sales table on the concourse. Plans begin at five games and up and include perks such as special price savings, team store discounts and the choice of a Ryan Mountcastle bobblehead or a Keys All-Star game hat.
