Trees and traditions will be celebrated at the Historical Society of Frederick County, which is launching the holiday season with a Festival of Trees on Friday, November 28. People of all ages are invited to drop by, see trees decorated by local schools, nonprofits and businesses and vote for their favorite.
Admission is free, although there is a nominal fee to vote. Proceeds support the county’s schools and nonprofits.

The event is located in the Historical Society’s Museum of Frederick County on 24 East Church Street in the Historic District of Frederick. The trees will be on view through Museums By Candlelight on Saturday, December 13. The Museum is open Sunday, 1pm – 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday, 10am – 4pm, with evening hours until 8pm on Thursdays.
