Geography is all around us and is used in ways far beyond a traditional paper map. Explore this world at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. All school aged children are welcome. However, this event is best suited for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. We’ll have local and national vendors showcasing maps, geographic displays and hands on activities and games offered all day. If you are unable to attend during the day, please encourage students to attend with their parents after school. Please plan for two hours to participate fully.
The second Saturday of every month is “Family Day” at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Children of all ages are invited to participate in fun, educational, hands-on activities as they learn about Marine Corps history. Please check theEducation Department’s Calendar, the Museum’s Calendar of Events, or download the flyers below for more information about upcoming “Family Day” events.
