Join the park staff for an exciting afternoon. We will have several programs throughout the day all with an Egg theme.
1:30 p.m.- Geocaching: Are you an “egg-perienced” Geocacher or just starting out? Either way, this is an fun activity for the entire family. Learn the basics of geocaching and how to operate a GPS unit, then set out to find caches. ($3.00/person or $8.00/family).
2:30 p.m.- Bird Nest and Eggs Environmental Encounters: Want to get an up close look at a bird nest? Join our Park Naturalist and learn about different type of nests and eggs you may encounter within Powhatan State Park. (FREE, parking fees apply).
3:00 p.m.- Scrambling for Eggs: Children ages 3 to 12 are welcome to come “scramble” for candy filled eggs. Please bring your own bag or basket to collect your eggs. (FREE, parking fees apply). Sponsored by the Friends of Powhatan State Park
