Discovery Days at the Gaithersburg Community Museum continue in February with “The History of Valentines.” Families are invited to the Museum on Saturday, February 7 to learn about the history and tradition of exchanging Valentines, and then make their own at our special craft table. This drop-in activity, suitable for ages 3+, runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, with donations very much appreciated to cover the cost of materials.
Upcoming Discovery Days will also include an exploration of Montgomery County’s rocks and minerals on Sunday, March 8 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The Gaithersburg Community Museum is located at 9 South Summit Avenue. Regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with additional hours by appointment. Museum admission is free.
