Old Town Alexandria
King Street between Washington Street and the waterfront
The 10th annual Alexandria King Street Art Festival transforms the city’s historic main street into a world-class outdoor art gallery on September 8 and 9, 2012. Festival booths line King Street between Washington and Union streets – over six blocks of artwork by more than 200 artists from the US and abroad! Plus you’ll find interactive activities and artist demonstrations presented by the local arts community.
Alexandria is celebrating its place as a top 10 arts destination among mid-size cities in the nation, packing the party with extra 10-themed fun including a smart phone scavenger hunt with 10 stops for a chance to win prizes at the Torpedo Factory Art Center and a 10 am to 10 pm Saturday drawing marathon presented by The Art League.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The festival is FREE and open to the public.
