Where is home for you? Glen Allen, VA
Home Base definite “Must Do’s”: Lewis Ginter, Botanical Gardens, Maymont, and Carytown
Meet the Family: Married with two boys and a princess.
Passions and Interests: I just started my tea business and I’m super
passionate about it. I’m only a few months in but it’s made me really focus on some business strategies I haven’t thought about in awhile since being a stay at home mom. I like applying all my energy and ideas into something productive.
Most controversial thing about you: I have 4 biological siblings that don’t know I exist. I went to Korea a few years ago to meet my biological parents and they both have since had their own families. Neither family knows about me or the other parent. They still keep in touch 35 years later.
Biggest Pet Peeve: Spelling and grammar mistakes kill me! We all have auto-correct so we should use it.
One Major Goal You’re Striving For: I’m trying to earn a cruise with my tea company. I need to throw 20 tea parties by September 30 so every day I try to find one party lead. I want to earn this to prove to my husband that I went out on a limb and made the right decision to do this! He wasn’t supportive at first.

Best Advice You’ve Ever Received: Always assume someone is in a worse situation than you are and give them the benefit of the doubt.
What are you reading? What is your favorite book?: Currently reading a marathon training book, Into the Water, and a parenting book about Sibling Rivalry. I need the fun book to motivate me to get through the other ones! My favorite book is super cheesy: Bridges of Madison County. All the feels.
Favorite Kid Friendly Restaurant: Mekong. The kids love the food and so do we- and it’s loud and busy enough that no one cares when your kids are yelling or out of their seats or throwing food on the ground. Plus it’s always quick and pretty cheap.
What is your go-to family dinner?: My kids are pretty adventurous eaters but their favorite meals are spaghetti, tacos, and split pea soup. Sounds crazy but they love it! I make mine in the crockpot so it’s super easy to throw together.
What types of activities do you like to do as a family?: We like to explore new places, go to the beach, walk around downtown areas, go to parks and playgrounds, watch movies, play mini golf, and go bowling. We would go to Disney World every day if we could!
What do you do when you have some alone time away from the kids?: With the hubby we love going to afternoon tea, food festivals or out to dinner and a movie. On my own I love spa time or a meal out with friends. And always shopping.
Are you ready for Back-to-School? Do you have any tips you’ve learned to help ease the transition?: Yes!!! Although I don’t want to rush through summer, I already have their school supplies purchased. My kids are early risers so we don’t really need to ease back into the morning routine but we will start pushing their bedtimes earlier when August approaches.
