I have done nothing. NOTHING. Oh, well I did enjoy my Thanksgiving weekend. I did NOT get up at midnight, or pepper spray people, or camp out. No, I had a nap, ate some turkey, watched some football. OK. So totally my fault. But now I have got things to do! We have to get a family photo for our Christmas cards. I have to order the Christmas cards. I have to address the cards and actually send them out. I want to get a photo of the kids with Santa (and maybe Ash and I again!) And I definitely need to get into the spirit of the season.
First, my family and I will kick off this holiday season in style and it will solve several things on the list. We will be at the 2nd Annual Kris Kringle Ball this Saturday night. The event is from 6-9pm. The event will absolutely get us into the Christmas spirit. The kids will get their photos with Santa for free on our own camera. [Check] The best part of that is that I don’t have to stand in line in some mall for 2 hours to get it. And we can take 30 photos if we want!! (To get your tickets, please call The Banner School 301.695.9320 you can charge them by phone and they’ll hold them for you at the door. At $10 per person – includes light fare and drinks – this is a very affordable way to kick things off.)
Then at the event, we’ll stop to see Kim McMillion from McMillion Photography. She’ll be set up to take gorgeous family photos. For $10, she’ll give us a copy on the spot (and she’ll donate some of that back to the Banner School). Family Christmas photo. [Check] Doing something great for the community. [Check]
I will dance to some fabulous music (Christmas and other hits) spun by our amazing DJ Tim! And I may even try to steal a dance with the famous Keyote from the Frederick Keys. Oh yea, holiday spirit here we come!
Okay – so by this Sunday, I should be well on my way to getting ready for Christmas…although I do still need to decorate!! 🙂
