Crab Cakes
 

Steve's Step-Mother's recipe...a huge hit!

10 crab cakes

Ingredients

1 pound lump crab meat
1 pound back fin crab meat
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
2 small onions chopped
2 stalks celery chopped
5 tablespoons Miracle Whip
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
4 teaspoons horseradish (not sauce)
sprinkle vigorously with Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

(Note:* 5 crab cakes per pound of crab meat used)

Directions

  1. Toss gently all ingredients until mixed. (Steve says - these suckers will fall apart - they're supposed to).
  2. Put corn oil in frying pan - cover the bottom...set burner between medium and medium high. Get the pan hot.
  3. Cooking time varies depending on thickness. About 4-5 minutes per side.
