Situated on 18 waterfront acres in the historic town of St. Michaels, Maryland, the Museum offers interactive exhibits, demonstrations, boat rides on the Miles River, hands-on education programs for children and adults, and annual festivals that celebrate the Chesapeake Bay culture, boats, seafood, history, and people.
The Museum’s floating fleet of historic Chesapeake Bay watercraft, maintained by Shipwrights and their apprentices in our Working Boatyard, is the largest in existence. The small boat collection includes crabbing skiffs, workboats, and log canoes.

Watkins Regional Park offers a fun getaway for the entire family, right in the heart of PG County! Camp out at one of 30 individual campsites, take a ride on the antique Chesapeake Carouse and the Miniature Train. Ride the rails winding through the woodlands offering a close up view of Old Maryland Farm. Old Maryland Farm is an educational farm facility open to the public. Its agricultural exhibits, livestock, and display gardens provide a farming experience to visitors. Play Miniature Golf on the 18 hole course and tennis at the Watkins Tennis Bubble. You can also visit the Watkins Nature Center and get a close up view of its resident live animals and exhibits.

The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring it the largest treetop climbing and zip-line park in the US. With 13 separate climbing trails, 197 individual ‘challenge bridges’, over 30 zip-lines, The Park is a source of fun and physical adventure for all ages from 5 to 84 (so far!)
