Wonderland! On Stage at the Carroll Arts Center
Details:
More than 40 young actors, singers and dancers will take the stage in early May in a delightful performance of the musical “Wonderland!”
Wonderland! is an unabashedly silly adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass. It follows Alice’s adventures while trying to become a Queen in a chess game with living pieces. You’ll love the toe-tapping musical renditions of “Jabberwocky”, and “The Walrus and the Carpenter”, as well as other great numbers such as “Anything’s Possible”, “Step by Step”, and the hysterical “I Was a Good Egg But Then I Done Went Bad”, sung by Humpty Dumpty and the Dixie Chickens!
The production is a culmination of a rigorous rehearsal process under the direction of Julie Herber of the Maryland Ensemble Theatre, and Tabetha White, the Arts Council’s Children’s Theatre Coordinator. It features students in grades 3 – 5, and is filled with exuberant music, lively dance numbers, and memorable characters.
The performances will be held on Friday May 4th at 7 pm, Saturday May 5th at 3 pm and 7 pm, and Sunday May 6th at 3 pm. Tickets are $10 for Adults and $7 for CCAC Members, Students, and Seniors.
The Carroll Arts Center is located at 91 West Main Street in downtown Westminster. For more information call (410) 848-7272 or visit www.CarrollCountyArtsCouncil.org.
