A Fine State of Things: West Virginia Enters the Union, 11am to 4pm – Visitors are invited to step into the role of voting Virginians in 1863 to experience how West Virginia, the 35th State of the Union, was born out of the Rebellion. United States Troops guard the poll and issue the oath of allegiance while Virginia State commissions run the polls.  What will they ask you?  Are you prepared to answer?!
