The Stafford County Agricultural Fair & Hartwood Days Festival is a FREE (no admission) Fair held in the Historic District of Hartwood in Stafford County VA (Fredericksburg, VA) along the Civil War Trail. This event offers Families and Youth of ALL ages many opportunities to have fun and learn something new (or maybe something old). There are LOTS of free activities for Youth, including the Fire Department Smoke House, and the Trailblazer® Adventure program, where all the kids can earn a free patch!

Visit our First Responders Area, see an operating Fire Station, check out their trucks & equipment, sit inside of a Police Cruiser, take a trip through the Fire Department Smoke House, and dont miss the great Demonstrations going on through the day.

Visit our Living History Area (LHA) and take a “Walk through Time”, where you can see everything from Romans to Recon! An interactive area, see, talk, touch and learn about the different eras of our past, and the people of those times.

Visit the Agricultural Area featuring the Stafford County Agricultural Competitions, and get back to your ‘Roots’, with plant & livestock shows, Arts & Crafts competitions, and exhibits! Theres something to interest everyone here!

And of course in the main area, thrill yourself Riding the Rides, Grab a bite to eat with some great Fair Food, play one of the games, listen to the free concerts, and check out all of the different booths, with over 250 demonstrations, Crafts, Exhibits, and Vendors.

Looking for entertainment? Our bands dont play for peanuts….they play for canned foods!! Live bands play starting at 9am on the main stage, until the Teen Jam takes over from 6-10 on Saturday. The Community stage will be open from 9-5 near the LHA, and will feature some of the area schools best and brightest! Sunday the Son-Jam starts at 4, and will feature some of the area’s best Contemporary Christian Groups. All concerts are FREE, but we do request that you bring a canned good for our Food Bank Donation box!
Be a part of History in the Making as the first annual Miss Stafford Pageant unfolds at 7:00 p.m on Saturday night. Young women in the region, ages 14 – 27 who want to have opportunities to win scholarships and prizes, are encouraged to participate as the pageant crowns the 2014 Miss Stafford County, and this new queen will not only continue on to compete in the Miss Virginia Pageant, but her term will also coincide with the 350th Anniversary of Stafford County.

And make sure that if you have Girl, Boy, or Cub Scouts in your area, bring them out to see the special Scout Attractions. More event info is available at and check us out on Facebook too (!
