National Kids to Parks Day-Mason Neck State Park
National Kids to Parks Day is an annual event encouraging families to enjoy the great outdoors. A Nationwide call for play has been organized by the National Park Trust, and we are answering that call with a day full of fun and adventure. Join a ranger to; learn how to fish, have fun digging through mud to find what kind of things may be swimming in our turtle pond, play fun games, and explore the park’s trails. Then we will also have many self-guided activities available for families at our Visitor Center. Some of our self-guided adventures include: bike riding, kayaking and canoeing*, and the Outdoor Challenge.
*Kayaks and Canoe rentals have some age restrictions. Please call the Visitor Center at (703)-339-2380 for any questions.
