Martinsburg Heritage Day 2013
The annual Martinsburg Heritage Day will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at various sites around the historic downtown area. Explore the town’s history and enjoy exhibits, tours, speakers, demonstrations, vendors, food, entertainment and activities throughout the day, including: Tours of historic sites are between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm at the following participating sites: Adam Stephen House & Tunnels, Aspen Hall, Belle Boyd House, Boydville, Caperton Station & Washington Heritage Trail Children’s Museum , Martinsburg Roundhouse, Sumner-Ramer Heritage Archives, Triple Brick Museum, and Martinsburg-Berkeley Co. Convention & Visitors Bureau. The trolley will be providing transportation between listed sites throughout the day. Dedication of the George Washington Heritage Trail Children’s Museum will occur on this day. Special events are being planned and will be announced later. Free parking will be available at the Caperton Station and in City parking lots and at meters on the streets. Admission to all locations is free, but donations will be accepted at all locations.
