Leesburg Independence Day
6:00pm-Celebrate America’s big day at Ida Lee Park and rock the night away as we head
back to the 80’s! The Breakfast Club will cover classic 80’s hits and have you dreaming of the days of leg warmers and acid washed jeans. Break out all your retro gear, sing along to your favorites and celebrate the heart of summer in Leesburg. Gates open at 6:00pm and music starts at 6:30pm, so be sure to arrive early and grab a spot for a full night of fun, food and great music. A full food court will be onsite with funnel cakes, ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, and other goodies
The biggest bang of the evening begins at 9:30pm when the largest fireworks show in the region will light up the sky. Choreographed to patriotic music, this light show is not to be missed. Parking is available at the interior lots off Ida Lee Drive, and the festival field parking off King Street. The Town of Leesburg staff will work hard to insure that as many vehicles as possible are parked in the park, so attendees are asked to be patient while waiting to enter and exit. The Town also reminds our guests to use designated cross walks.
Leesburg Fire and Rescue Volunteers will be on site to provide medical assistance if needed. Coolers and large bags are permitted but will be checked at gate entrances. Pets, alcohol, glass bottles and personal fireworks (including sparklers) are not permitted. In the event of rain, fireworks will be rescheduled for July 5th at 9:30pm. No other activities will be rescheduled.
