Lantern Night, Oct. 25, 2014

Spend a family-friendly Halloween at the Fire Museum of Maryland in the warm glow of 19th century lanterns. Oct. 25, 2014, 6 – 8 pm.

Candle and kerosene lanterns are lit on the antique fire engines for this unique Halloween Party.  By candle light and soft lighting, re-enactors in period attire share their life stories from the past two centuries. Telegraphers will help you send coded messages across the museum. Visitors can pull an alarm box and see the codes go out from one of four Telegraph and Computer Alarm Offices. There are many hands-on activities, including putting on fire gear and climbing on a 1938 fire Engine!  Visitors in costume get in half price. Free parking. 1301 York Road, Lutherville, MD 21093, One Block North of the I-695, Exit 26B. For more information, call 410-321-7500 www.firemuseummd.org
