Stream banks are where land and water meet. Find out which animals visit the stream bank and what kinds of signs they leave behind. See the rocks and minerals that the stream exposes when it pulls earth away from the banks, and find out where the water carries them. All attending must register and pay. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Register at (247401).

Brookside Nature Center, located in Wheaton Regional Park, provides fun experiences in our parks helping visitors develop a connection to our natural and cultural resources. The nature center interprets local natural and cultural history through: live reptile, amphibian, and fish exhibits hands-on children’s nature discovery areas, insect and mammal displays, including an observation beehive, bay-friendly backyard and schoolyard habitat demonstration garden, pioneer homestead and heritage garden, self-guided nature trail and accessible interpretive boardwalks, wildlife viewing areas, and bird, butterfly, and native plant gardens.
