The Big Muddy Experience

Start prepping your family for the muddiest day of your year! You’ll experience the premiere Parent Child adventure race series at the Big Muddy Challenge in Richmond Va…you and thousands of other participants will complete a two mile obstacle course with more fun, high fives and cheers than any other fun run can muster.  Oh yeah – you are also running with your kids

The Big Muddy Challenge is a celebration of positive attitudes, positive lifestyles & setting the right example.  We take that goal a step further by supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters through every one of our events.

Grab your family, friends and costumes!  We’ll meet you at the 2014 Big Muddy Challenge!

Course Description

Run, walk, slosh, climb and crawl — you’ll experience it all at our Richmond Va mud run.  But don’t worry, if you get to an obstacle that’s more than a challenge for you—hey, take one of the detours. Expect the event to go on rain or shine. Expect not to be timed. Expect some crazy team uniforms. Expect to leave with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and muddy memories.

Course Strategy

Take it easy and have fun! The Big Muddy Challenge is not timed so you can go entirely at your own pace. The course may include off road terrain, so be careful. You’re sure to cross the finish line after some mud, sweat and cheers. Expect a “safety first” mindset throughout the course and water stations at the midway point.

Spectator Tips

Prepare your family and friends – they’ll be overwhelmed with a sense of jealousy as they watch you experience one of the best and muddiest days of your year! Make sure they bring a camera, as the memories are priceless!

Go Green!  We always encourage Big Muddy Challenge participants to carpool even though parking is free !
