Big 80’s Night Yoga at Jala Yoga
Shepherdstown, WV – Jala Yoga, the beautiful and inspiring yoga studio at Mellow Moods Cafe and Juice Bar, 117 West German Street, Shepherdstown, offers two fabulous workshops this month. On Friday, February 22, 6-8 pm, Jala instructor Michelle Grimes will teach Big 80’s Night Yoga, complete with all of your favorite tunes from that decade. Yoga students are invited to don their parachute pants, do their hair up big, and join Michelle for a fun retro flow class. The cost is $15; $10 for class card holders and students.
On Sunday, February 24, 1-3 pm, guest teacher Michelle Cagan will teach Heart Openings, a workshop that will lead to a greater sense of love, compassion, joy, inspiration, and well-being. This vigorous flow class will explore heart-opening postures that will improve posture, build strength, and expand consciousness. The cost is $14 in advance; $18 at the door. Michelle is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher and Stott Pilates Certified Instructor. She completed her 500-hour Teacher Training in December 2012 through Charm City Yoga. Teaching both Pilates and yoga were a natural progression for her after a career as a professional ballet dancer.
Jala Yoga offers classes 7 days a week in the vinyasa style of yoga in which poses flow from one to another. Jala Yoga believes that yoga is accessible and necessary for everyone, and both beginners and seasoned practitioners are welcome.
