2014 Can-Am Police-Fire Games
From July 13-20, 2014, York County will host the Can-Am Police-Fire Games! This Olympic-style competition brings together police, firefighters, EMS, emergency responders and other service personnel from across the United States and Canada for the ultimate celebration of camaraderie and competition.
The games, which occur every two years, feature a variety of traditional athletic competitions such as swimming, softball, golf and cycling, as well as profession-specific challenges such as SWAT, police service dog, toughest firefighter alive and toughest competitor alive.
The York games will feature more than 50 sporting events and will utilize a variety of York County’s world-class athletic facilities such as Graham Aquatic Center, York Barbell Company and Sovereign Bank Stadium, home of the York Revolution baseball team.
Proceeds from the Can-Am Police Fire Games will benefit the Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia Chapter. During the event, Wish Kids will present medals to winning athletes, help with opening ceremonies, volunteer at events and cheer on participants.
The games are expected bring more than 2,000 participants and their families to York County for the ten day event.
York, Pennsylvania welcomes police, fire, EMS and all other first responders from all over North America for the 2014 York Can-Am Police-Fire Games. From July 13-20, 2014 over 30 venues in York County will be packed with over 2,000 competitors. The Games are free to the public and offer great competition for those who participate. All proceeds from the Can-Am Games benefit a charity of choice by the host city. York has selected the Make-A-Wish® of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia
to receive all proceeds.

, home of the United States Weightlifting Hall of Fame.
