Join Us For “All About Trains” Day!
The Museum’s next Special Activities Day will be Saturday, August 9th from 1-3pm where we will have a guest speaker from CSX Railway Corporation to talk about safety around trains and special music and games.
The For The Kids, By George! Children’s Museum features a Railway Heritage exhibit that explores life on the railroad, Tunnels Through Time where visitors can experience how life changed from one historic era to the next, a trip high above the train tracks to discover how train cars move people, animals and products, a 3-D virtual Bike Tour down the Washington Heritage Trail and a chance to learn more about young George Washington and the time he spent here before the Eastern Panhandle became our own West Virginia.
The Museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 11am-5pm and Sundays from 1-5pm. Group Tour reservations can be made by calling the Museum at 304.264.9977. Tickets are $6/person for all persons 2 years old and up; groups of 10 or more will enjoy a discount at $5/person.
