Mid-Life (sans crisis)!
I am 45 today. That fact alone is not such a big deal in the scheme of things. And certainly not much of an accomplishment in itself. And in truth, “the number” doesn’t bother me at all. It’s just that each year on this day I get the opportunity to look back (a long, long way) and check myself. This particular day gives me a chance to see what I have been able to accomplish to this point in my life. In looking back today, I am pretty darned pleased.
I have a fantastic husband and fulfilling marriage.
I have two amazing kids.
I have extraordinary friends, friends that have been there for me at the best of times and the worst of times.
I have a business that allows me to wake up everyday and enjoy what I do.
That seems all pretty great to me on this day. I can look back and smile, laugh and cringe about things I have done thus far…and I am very hopeful about completing more things on my “bucket list.”
In truth, I have pretty much reached that pinnacle of “mid-life”…(if I am lucky) – and if that’s so, then it gives me lots of time to do more, be more and achieve more.
Happy Birthday to me!
