Here at Tots2Tweens we are always on the lookout for moms who can contribute to our goal of bringing you the most up-to-date, relevant information. My goal is to do the research for you so you don’t have to! This week I found Regina Benbow, a local mom and fledging photographer.
Name: Regina Benbow
Home: Born in Moline, IL. now living in Hagerstown, MD.
Occupation: Stay at home mom and Photographer
Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/ReginaBenbowPhotography
Must sees in Hagerstown: City Park is a must, it’s so beautiful. Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum if you have a little one that loves trains like my son (he goes nuts when he hears or sees trains ) than you definitely need to go there.
Most controversial thing about her: Have you seen the latest TIME Magazine cover about breastfeeding? Well I’m proud to say that I breastfeed all of my children past the age of 1. I completely respect the right of every mother to do what is best for her family but for us, extended breastfeeding has been the best choice.
Passions and Interests: Over the last few years, photography has become my passion. There is something about photography that relaxes and excites me. There is a certain thrill that I get when taking pictures that cannot be expressed with words. I just finished up taking classes at HCC for photography and learned so much. I’m hoping to take more soon to keep expanding. I’m building my portfolio and still learning as I go.
What types of photography she does: My style is on site with natural light lifestyle photography. I can do Weddings, Engagements, Children, Family, Pets, Newborn, and Maternity.
What have you learned as a photographer that you can share with the every day mom? Getting moments of ‘firsts’ are sometimes better then a posed portrait. First moments with mom, first bath, first time riding a bike, first time meeting friends and family, and going to school.
