Will it be you?!

Not if you don’t link up!

But, before you head off to do that, why not Meet a Mom?!

Name: Kelly

Home:  Waynesboro, PA

Owner:  My Foodie Love

Meet the family:  Happily married mama of one 10 month old baby girl!

Why we love her:  We love meeting and working with new bloggers who have focus and passion and the desire to grow!  And, Kelly’s site is brand spanking new; only been blogging for a month!  Her blog shows us how a new mom can enjoy something more than just sweat pants and baby barf and that’s pretty cool!

Why she thinks you should check out her site:

I think I’m a regular gal at home with my daughter and enjoying the things I did not have much time for before.  I am appreciating my time in the kitchen and I want to share my discoveries with those who love food and need a reminder that time can be made to appreciate a fantastic dish.

Blogging As a Help to New Moms

Well, for me, blogging is a way for me to release tension and communicate when communications seem to be lacking.  Let us face it, as a new at home mom with a medically challenged child, I do not get to communicate with people all that often.  I am left to my own thoughts and devices and sometimes that stuff needs a place to get out.  Having a blog gives me connection to the outside world while I’m stuck inside.  It also inspires me to be more creative and helps me challenge my skills.  As a business, gosh, that’s my next plan!  I hope to start a party planning business, but I’ll be needing advice rather than giving it at the moment!!

Blogging as a Special Needs Mom

Delainie is a a medically challenged child, so as a mom, part of my job is actually being a nurse, a physical therapist, a hearing therapist, and occupational therapist, a secretary… oh the list is long!  However, I make sure to enjoy the time with my daughter as well.  We go for outings and on the weekends, we suck up as much of her daddy’s time as possible, because the chores can wait.  When Delainie is sleeping or playing on her mat, I take time to work on my blogging.  When she needs me I promptly stop and tend to her.  So, I have to be on my A game with being able to pick up where I leave off and many balls at a time.

I’m Headed to Waynseboro, PA.  Where should I be sure to visit?!

Well, usually I would say my house!  But, everyone can not visit my place.  So, I think one of the nice places in our town is the Renfrew Park and Museum.  It’s very pretty and it has quite a historical background.  I would also recommend the little fast food joint called Red Run Grill, fantastic!

  1. Welcome to the bloggy hood Kelly! Going to check out her blog now. I so can relate to the need to communicate with other adults!

  2. Love your blog! It sounds like a great way fir you to decompress while raising a child with medical needs. As an SLP I work with families with children that have mild to severe medical and cognitive issues. Most of the parents are some of the hardest working and most organized parents I have met. It takes a lot of dedication!

Thanks for the support! This has been so much fun.
