Holiday DIY Days with Tots2Tweens. Last Minute Holiday Ideas.

The frantic-I’m-such-a-procrastinating-louse phase of Christmas prep should be setting in for some of us you right.  About.  NOW!

With only a few days left to get all of your halls decked, handmade gifts made, and Christmas day dinner menu planned, you really need

to kick it into high gear.

Unless you’re totally organized, mom genius and have everything done already?

If so, I worship you.

If not, allow me to point you towards some awesome places for last minute advice!

For people still looking for a great last minute, frugal, and easy to make gift for a friend, co-worker, caregiver, or the like, hop over to She {hearts} It and see the DIY Vanilla Sugar Scrubs tutorial.

I love this site (not just because I moonlight there from time to time) because all of the creative women who write there have such great ideas for fun family activities, useful products moms love, tasty homemade meal ideas, and great giveaways.

Need help getting your holiday meal planned?  I have a number of foodie blog that I am so over the top in love with (including the one written by our very (a)Musing Foodie), but one I find useful and fun to read is Our Best Bites.

Just last night I made batches and batches of their Cinnamon Bun Popcorn

Mine had a few slight alterations (because we have a nut allergy that makes tasty things like almonds a thing of the past), but it was still delicious.

I’ve made a bunch of there desserts, but they are more than jut their single person pies in jars and Pizzookies.  They area also a great resource for more savory meals like great-for-Hanukkah brisket.

Plus they do a pretty good job of sharing tutorials on things you thought you knew how to do until you tried it and failed.  Easy sounding things like peeling a peach (without the stupid thing exploding and dripping it’s slippery goo all over the place), or how to scramble eggs even if the thought of actually eating them makes you gag a little.

So we got some gifts taken care of and some holiday eats ideas too.

What’s left?!  How about some pretty table setting ideas?!

I sacrificed an entire evening on Pinterest for you and also because I’m an addict putting together this board filled with great ideas to make your holiday table pretty so your guests will worship you harder for the big day.

Have fun looking!

And, happy holidays to you and your family.

We will be on light-recovering-from-the-holiday-and-getting-ready-for-2012 schedule next week, but be sure to keep up with us on Facebook where we will be sharing all of the details about our 2012 Get Your Body Back Challenge set to launch early January!
