I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to some of my family…Mom & Steve are one part of it. My mom was lucky enough to be reunited with her childhood sweetheart about 10 years ago…they haven’t looked back since.
Grandma and Grandpa are a hoot. I constantly tell them that they have no business being out on their own – soon I will hire them a permanent chaperone.
There is always a story or an adventure when they’re out together. For instance, they left one afternoon to go out for groceries and came back with a brand new Ford King Cab pick up. Don’t get me wrong – the truck is awesome…but still. The greatest thing of all is that they absolutely love one another and I couldn’t be happier for them.
We laugh a lot when we’re together. A whole lot. I wanted to share some of their escapades with you – I think you’ll laugh too.
Mom- This kitchen faucet is stained, and I can’t get it out.
Steve- Have you tried?
Mom- No, but you’ve never gotten it out.
Steve- Why don’t we try CLR. That works on stainless steel.
Mom- I think I have a coupon for CLR.
(10 minutes passes while Mom looks through coupon book)
Mom- I don’t see a coupon.
Steve- Well, we should try it anyway.
Mom- There might be a coupon.
Steve- I thought you said there was no coupon?
Mom- Half way through the coupon book I forgot what I was looking for, but I did go all the way through the book.
Steve- So, you read half of a coupon book and didn’t know why?
Mom- Well, sort of.
Steve- What do you mean?
Mom- I’ve read the coupon book before, but thought I should read it again.
Steve- So, this is the second time you’ve read the coupon book.
Mom- Yes, and there really isn’t anything in there we need.
Steve- Except, maybe CLR.
Mom- Shut up.
