I met Liza, foodie blogger extraordinaire, ages ago.
I don’t recall the circumstances, but I fell in love with her and her blog the moment I discovered it.
Her food and recipe blog just so, um, delicious. Kinda like her.
I’m so excited to be able to say that Liza is going to be a pretty frequent contributor to Tots2Tweens (we’ve given her Tuesday and we know you’re going to love her weekly posts as much as we do!) so you might as well get to know her…
Home: In Maryland
Owner of: (a)Musing Foodie
Meet the Family: Married, 2 kids, girl age 6, boy age 3
Why we love her: Because it’s just so hard to not to?! And, because her blog is just a well written, beautifully photographed, place of happy deliciousness. I’ve actually never eaten a thing she’s cooked, but looking at her site, oh how I want to! I mean, I’d break a leg to get to her house to sample one of her delicious dessert recipes or flavorful chicken fajitas!
Why she wants you to check out her site: Who doesn’t like food? (a)Musing Foodie addresses the inner everyday foodie in us all. Not just recipes, not just restaurants, there’s something for everyone – with a dash of snark too.
The Surprises of Life
Liza had no idea that she would one day be the proud owner of a successful food blog. She says, “Ten years ago I was just starting my career in insurance, and writing was just a distant memory.”
Finding Inspiration in the Daily Mom Crunch
Like many mothers, Liza works full time, outside of the home to help support her family. Work and life responsibilities are just one thing she needs to work around to be able to find time to cook and blog and just live a full (obviously tasty) life. So, how does she find balance and time to “do it all”? It’s a balancing act for sure, but she has a tip for us: Keep the laptop out of the living room while the kids are still up, and carve out “me time,” even if it involves simply calendaring a movie with a friend once a month.
And don’t forget to be inspired! Liza find hers from, “being surrounded by a large network of creative, caring and supportive friends and family. And food.” Of course, food!
Want to find your own food-spiration? Get yourself over to Liza’s blog (a)Musing Foodie stat! I guarantee you it will NOT disappoint!
And, don’t forget to check in here every TUESDAY! She will be dishing up some Mom Awesome deliciousness that even us busy bodies can accomplish!
