She’s sort of a big deal round these parts.
I mean, she is the founder of this website we love afterall!
I interviewed her so you all could get to know all of the awesomeness that I get to enjoy on a regular basis.
What?! Like you don’t kiss up to your boss…
City: Frederick, Maryland
Owner of: Tots2Tweens (well, duh!)
Family stats: Married, 11.5 years and mom to two adorable little people, a boy and a girl, ages 8 and 6.
Why should you read her site (other than the obvious fact that it’s seriously informative and ridiculously cool)?: Parents should use Tots2Tweens as their main resource because the site will save them a ton of time. There aren’t too many other websites that cater to parents with kids from birth to 14 where you can also read some amazing blogs (ahem), get some great recipe ideas, de-clutter by selling all your kids’ gently used items and find something fabulous to do this weekend…but we’ve got it all.
We asked Dani to weigh-in on some of our most controversial mom questions and here’s what she had to say…
Celebrity Mom Crushes, We All Have Them
I love Claire on Modern Family – she cracks me up…I love that she really wants to be a friend to her kids but realizes that is just not possible. I love that she volunteers for too much and is so Type A that she doesn’t want anyone else to even lift a finger! She’s real. And I love that.
New Mom Advice From a Seasoned Mom Vet
My best advice is to sleep when the baby sleeps – don’t worry about the house getting cleaned, don’t worry about the laundry piling up, seriously don’t fret about how you look when those unexpected guests pop by – get some rest — you and your body need it!!
Finding Balance While Running a Business and Being a Mom
This is a tough one – especially for me. I think it’s especially hard since I work from home so the computer is on ALL THE TIME. My kids (and husband) constantly stare at the back of my head while I vigorously type away – and it’s definitely tough since we have just gone through a complete re-design and re-launch of the site. I do feel like now I will be able to get more of a normal schedule back (LOL – I know, even writing it, I don’t quite believe it either)…I. Am. Trying…really hard to make sure that I spend some serious quality time with the kids (and my husband)…my best times with the kids are at night just before bedtime – this is the time I am usually tickling them, reading with them, or just chatting about the day.
